The Amtrak Station at Worcester, located in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts at Washington Square, services the Lake Shore Limited which travels daily between Chicago and New York City via Cleveland and Buffalo along the south shore of Lake Michigan, the Erie Canal and the Mohawk River. The station was built in 1911, however, it was abandoned in 1975. After extensive renovations, the station reopened in July of 2000. Today the station includes an intercity and local bus terminal with five bus ports. There’s a commuter rail line as well. Services included staffed ticket windows, free WiFi, restrooms, vending machines, an Atm machine, and a parking lot nearby. Nearby attractions include Mechanics Hall, Worcester Art Museum and the Hanover Theatre for Performing Arts.
