Located in the suburban part of Orange County, the home of the major league baseball team the Los Angeles Angels is affectionately nicknamed “The Big A” but is officially called the Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The stadium is more than a ball park: it also hosts sporting events and international musical acts such as the Rolling Stones and Madonna.

There are two features of the stadium that cannot be missed: The “Big A” sign in front of the stadium that has a halo around the “A” that lights up after the Angels win a game, and also the “California Spectacular” display behind the left-center field fence, which features geysers that shoot out water, artificial rocks and real trees. Fireworks are shot out of the display at the start of games, after the Angels hit a homerun or win a game.

The stadium is about three miles away from Disneyland and has a Amtrak and Metrolink station in the parking lot. The stadium is accessible to those in wheelchairs.

Ticket prices and opening hours vary due to the game and seat location, but the stadium also hosts tours on Tuesdays during the offseason (but not on holidays) at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. During the baseball season, tours are offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1 p.m., but only when the team is out of town. Tour cost is $3 for adults and $2 for children.
