Anniston Amtrak Station

Hotels near Anniston Amtrak Station, Oxford (Alabama), United States .

The Anniston Amtrak Station near Oxford, Alabama was opened in 1926. Originally operated by the Southern Railway, it was one of the last railroad-operated passenger stations in the country for years. This station, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was once a stop on the Southern Crescent.

Today, the Anniston Amtrak Station is a stop on Amtrak’s Crescent passenger train, which runs from Pennsylvania Station in New York City to New Orleans in Louisiana. The train itself passes through more states than any other Amtrak route in working order today. Its stop at the Anniston Station renders the station itself the third-busiest Amtrak station in the state of Alabama.
