The Arcangues Golf course was setup in 90’s by Guy and Jean d'Arcangues on their family estate that surrounds the Chateau and the Arcangues village ten minutes from Biarritz in France.

Also known as the Golf d'Arcangues, it provides a perfect balance of woodland holes as well as holes through open country with stunning views of the Pyrenees and the Basque countryside.

The 72 par course was designed by Ronald Fream, an American architect. It spreads over 198 acres meadows and of oak trees winding its way from the clubhouse to the South and then before curving around the chateau to the North before appearing again from the East to finish at the 18th hole just beneath the Clubhouse terrace.

While in Biarritz make sure you visit the Alexandre Newsky Church which is am amazing piece of architecture situated near its coastal region. This Russian Orthodox church is among some of the best religious buildings here. Before the Russian Revolution there was quite a large Russian population here and hence this church in France.

Another must-see is the Asiatica, a splendid museum found in the centre of Biarritz. It is said to have one of the best exhibitions of Oriental and other Asian art in the West.

The Chapelle Impériale which was built in 1864, is another interesting landmark which has always been the centre of attraction. It is among the world’s biggest doll’s houses and visitors and locals can both marvel at it as they pass by. You can enter and admire the elaborate attention paid to detail by craftsmen creating a replica world yet perfect in every respect.

Close to the Arcangues Golf course you have three star hotels like the Pierre & Vacances Les Terrasses d 'Arcangues starting from €43 per room per night, the Hôtel Laminak at €71 and the Novotel Biarritz Anglet Aéroport at €69. Four star hotels include the Château De Brindos at €160 and the Le Beaumanoir at €270. For a lower budget you have the two star Hotel Restaurant Les Genets at €46 and the Relais Fast Hôtel at €39.
