The Arena Stage is a not-for-profit theater production company based out of Washington, D.C., United States. Although in the process of constructing a permanent home at 6th and Maine Streets in Southwest D.C., Arena Stage currently holds productions in participating area venues like the Arena Stage in Crystal City and the Arena Stage at the Lincoln Theatre. Since its founding in 1950 by Zelda Fichandler, Thomas Fichandler and Edward Mangum, Arena Stage has put on theatrical productions as one of the very first not-for-profit theaters in the country. This celebrated production company has experienced a great deal of success over the years with American plays as its “foundation and inspiration.” Tickets to Arena Stage productions can be purchased online, by phone, or at the Sales Office, which is currently located in Crystal City.
