To the north of Andorra La Vella is a small gray stoned village called Arinsal which is increasingly witnessing development due to rise in tourism. Approximately 5 kilometers by road is Pal, another picture perfect mountain village that is becoming a hot spot for beginner and intermediate skiers. There is a 50 people tram link to the top of Arinsal at Pic Negre from Coll de la Botella of Pal’s Seturia section that has made it convenient for visitors to access this place.

The Pal-Arinsal has 5 black runs, 16 red runs, 16 blue runs and 4 green runs. It has a total 63 kilometers of downhill pistes and 5 kilometers of cross country trails. The resort is also equipped with 30 ski lifts, the highest lift being at an alititude of 2560 meters and the lowest piste at 1550 meters.

One can access the skiing area from four points, the main being the mid-station, La Caubella at an altitude of 1950 meters which runs ticket sales, skis for hiring and also has a restaurant. The four green runs can be found in this section but most recommend that beginners spend time skiing at Arinsal and then ski on the slopes of Pal. There are also excellent and length blue runs and red runs that provides ample scope for intermediates to improve on their skills.

The slopes of Pal also provide plenty of opportunity for snowboarding. The ski resort is equipped with 350 snow cannons. As such there is no separate section for snowboarding but investments in this area are in the plans.
