The Arizona Military Museum is located at 5636 East McDowell Road in the center of town in Phoenix, Arizona. The museum is the work of the Arizona National Guard Historical Society, a non-profit group aimed at preserving historical artifacts, memorabilia and knowledge relating to the military. The Arizona Military Museum has been operating for over 25 years now, situated in a low-lying abode structure that was built in 1936 as part of the Depression-era public works.

Previous to the Second World War, the building had been used as an arsenal (the remodeled version of which occupies the museum presently), while during the war it was used as a shop for German prisoners held at a nearby camp. To see the arsenal and the various other artifacts and archive records held at the Arizona Military Museum, simply visit between the hours of 1pm and 4pm on Saturdays or Sundays except during the summer months.
