Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum, known locally as “the Coliseum,” seats just under 15,000 people and is situated within the Arizona State Fairgrounds at 1826 W McDowell Rd in Phoenix.

Opened in 1965 for year-round use, the Coliseum was formerly the home of the Phoenix Suns until they moved to the US Airways Center in 1992. Currently, the Coliseum is used chiefly for state fair events and will serve as the home for the inaugural 2009 season of the Arizona Derby Dames, a female roller derby team. Performers like Bob Dylan and the Stone Temple Pilots have graced the stage of the Coliseum in recent times, along with ABBA’s musical show and other events.
