Arusha Airport is one of the busiest airports in Tanzania, next to Julius Nyerere International Airport and Mwanza Airport. The airport serves as a major hub for chartered flights into Arusha, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Mount Kilimanjaro National Parks.

The facilities were constructed in the 1950s during the time of colonial rule. Since then, renovations in place have converted Arusha Airport into a more modern air transport hub. Further expansion plans are underway to make the Arusha Airport into a tourist and economic zone.

Arusha is located in northern Tanzania and is blessed with a backdrop of massive national parks and breathtaking sceneries. The other attractions close by are Olduvai Gorge, Mount Meru, Arusha National Park. Temperatures in Arusha remain cool, with low humidity levels.
