Atakule

Atakule is located in Ankara, Turkey. Atakule in Turkish means ancestral tower.
Atakule stands 125 meters tall and hence is the prime landmark of Ankara. Ragip Buluc designed the tower. It took three years to construct the tower. The tower opened its doors to the public in 1989.
The bottom of the Atakule tower has shopping mall and various indoor and well as outdoor restaurants to satisfy the taste buds of the visitors.
The primary attraction offered by Atakule, apart from shopping is a revolving deck cum restaurant on the top of the tower. The restaurant is called Sevilla. It has an open terrace from where one gets a birds eye view of the entire Ankara city. It takes around an hour time, to complete a revolution. The view from the deck looks extremely beautiful at night.
Other attractions include Turkish Parliament house, located at 2.8 kms from Atakule tower.
