Hotels near Ataturk Inernational Airport, Istanbul, Turkey .

Ataturk International Airport (formerly Yesilkoy International Airport) (ICAO: LTBA) is the major international airport serving Istanbul, Turkey. Located in Yesilkoy, on the European side of the city, it is 24 km (15 mi) west of the city center. Europe’s 10th busiest airport, it is named in honor of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder and the first president of the Republic of Turkey. In the first 8 months of 2009, the airport serviced 19,561,342 passengers, nearly 12 million of them international. Atatürk shares traffic with Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, located on the Anatolian (Asian) side of Istanbul. Both airports provide domestic and international service to the Istanbul area. Free Wireless LAN is available at the international arrival area (after customs control) and in the international departure area (after passport control). The Istanbul International Airport Hotel is located at the airport, connected to the terminal. Also, the following hotels are located within 5 miles of the airport: Radisson SAS, Marriott Renaissance, Holiday Inn Airport North, Four Points and Sheraton. Airport services include Starbucks and Gloria Jean's coffee shops, three Burger King outlets, a unisex barbershop, a pharmacy, a post office and a storage area. Also available are bookshops and several vendors who sell Istanbul’s renowned Gulluoglu baklava. Major car rental agencies operate concessions. Light rail service exists between Aksaray and Atatürk International Airport. The line runs through several major parts of the European side of the city, including the intercity bus terminal. The journey to Aksaray takes 30–35 minutes. Havas operates a shuttle bus service. Buses run each half-hour to Bakirköy, Yenikapi, Aksaray, Taksim Square, and hourly to Kozyatagi (on the Anatolian side). Every two hours, buses depart for Etiler-Akmerkez. Also, the fast ferry terminal at Bakirköy connects the terminal to Bostanci and Kadiköy. Havas buses run between the airport and the fast ferry terminal in conjunction with the ferry schedule. In addition, municipal buses run to Taksim, Etiler and Kozyatagi. This is a slower, but cheaper, option than Havas. The airport is accessible by car via the coastal road, D-100 international road and TEM (Trans-European Motorway). http://www.ataturkairport.com/eng/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ataturk_Airport
