Housing the biggest and most significant collections of classical art in Finland, the Ateneum is divided into three sections; Paintings and Sculptures, Prints and Drawings and International Art. Designed by Theodor H?ijer and completed in 1887, the Ateneum is an art museum that provides knowledge and appreciation of the arts that is important to the cultural Finnish heritage. The current exhibition at the Ateneum is an exhibition on Pablo Picasso. Opened on the 18th of September 2009 and available to explore until the 6th of January 2010, this exhibition presents Pablo Picasso's art in different periods which presents over two hundred of his art pieces from the Mus¨¦e national Picasso in Paris.
