The Atlanta Amtrak Station (code: ATL), sometimes called Peachtree Station, is a full-service Amtrak Station located at 1688 Peachtree Street NW in the Brookwood section of the city. Dating back to 1908, the station was originally built as a stop on the Southern Railway before reaching the terminal in downtown Atlanta. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. ATL is one of the main stops on the Amtrak Crescent line which goes from New Orleans to New York’s Penn Station. The station has waiting rooms for ticketed passengers and is open from 7am to 9:30pm, seven days a week. Baggage check services, help with baggage, public restrooms and payphone and electronic ticketing are all available in the station. Amtrak’s Atlanta Station is wheelchair accessible.
