The Atlanta History Center is located on 33 acres of land in the heart of the Buckhead district of Atlanta, Georgia. It is one of the premier history museums in the United States. Founded in 1926 by fourteen men, the center was originally called the Atlanta Historical Society and was set up to preserve the history of the city of Atlanta.
