The Atlantic City Aquarium is located in the heart of the city, just off the main beach and boardwalk area at 800 North New Hampshire Avenue, on Gardner‘s Inlet. Since its beginnings in the late 1970s as part of the development of historic Gardner‘s Basin, the AC Aquarium has been a favorite of local school children. Some of the exhibits include live feedings of sharks and rays by professional divers, as well as exotic fish of the Amazon, Indo-Pacific and local Atlantic sea life. The aquarium is open seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for Seniors, $4 for children 4-12 and free for children 3 and under (info as of 09/09). Group tours are welcome. There are many items of interest in surrounding Gardner’s Basin, including restaurants and shopping centers.

Accommodations are available in Trump Marina Hotel across the inlet, at Howard Johnson Atlantic City Downtown or in the Travelodge Atlantic City at the end of the boardwalk.
