Atocha Station, located in Madrid, is the largest railway in Spain. It is the first railway station among Spain's national routes and the second among international routes, only exceeded by Barcelona-Sants.

Inaugurated in the nineteenth century, the station is one of the most traditional places of Madrid, always full of crowd, but mostly known after the sad event marked by the Islamist bombings of March 11 2004 and its intense popular response. This station is located right next to a covered tropical garden of over 5000 species of carnivorous plants, aquatic plants, goldfish, covering 4,000 m².
