Dating back to 1919, the Attucks Theatre is often called the “Apollo Theatre of the South.” For years, this Norfolk, Virginia theatre has served as a focal point of entertainment, business and pride in Norfolk’s African American Community.

Deemed a National Historic Landmark in 1977, the Attucks closed down for three years for restoration before being reopened in 2004.

Today, the theatre is officially known as the Crispus Attucks Cultural Center, hosting several shows and events throughout the year. The Attucks is also available for rental and can be used for a number of types of meetings, banquets and receptions.
