Situated in the Uptown neighborhood of New Orleans, just south of the campus of Tulane University, Audubon Park is a public park that houses the Audubon Zoo, Audubon Golf Course, and a number of athletic fields, walkways, and bike paths. The Park is situated on the grounds of a former plantation, and was once the staging area for the famous Buffalo Soldiers of the American Civil War, as well as the location of the 1914 World’s Fair.

Audubon Park stretches from the Mississippi River to St. Charles Avenue, and is bounded on the east and west by Exposition Boulevard and Walnut Street. The Park’s running tail, popular with fitness enthusiasts, is 1.8 miles long, and winds through expansive green space and around a number of tranquil lagoons. Audubon Park is within easy walking distance of the Audubon Nature Institute, as well as Loyola, Tulane, and Xavier Universities.

The Park is located at 6500 Magazine Street in New Orleans, and on-site parking is available to visitors free of charge.
