Auestadion

Auestadion is a multipurpose stadium in the city of Kassel in Northern Hesse (Germany). It was inaugurated in 1953 and it is used normally as a home ground for the football club KSV Hessen Kassel. The Auestadion was built in 1953 at a former parade ground, being used for the grandstands foundations material from the ruins of the destruction of the city of Kassel in the 2nd World War. In approximately 100,000 cubic meters was used war debris. Because of this debris building, the stadium stands to this day as a historic monument. The main grandstand, the glass side walls and seating for about 2,200 spectators, contains an average section a part of Tribune press staff changing rooms and houses in the substructure. The stadium was given a six-lane leading to the playing career.
From 1983 to 1993, the Auestadion was modernized, as it was designed by Norbert Harle. Currently, the Auestadion is again experiencing a modernization and reconstruction phase, where the original character of a multi-purpose stadium is redefined.
The capacity of the stadium is approximately 8300 seats and standing room around 2,500, giving a total of 10,800 (approximately 2,200 grandstand, accounted for about 1,400 plus side grandstands, plus about 4,700 East Stands) viewers. After completion of the renovation and modernization of the two curves the Auestadion will offer a total of 18,800 spectators.
