Augsurg is often labeled as an “Renaissance city” but the city architecture reflects more than just one stylistic epoch, some of the buildings having 2000 years old. The city has a lot of festivals, like the Cabaret festival, the Fountain festival, the Honky-Tonk Music Festival and the Youth culture festival. Regarding food, beside typical Bavarian dishes, the local cuisine has been influenced by Swabia, resulting noodles with cheese and stuffed pasta pockets, to name a few.

Augsburg has a brilliant transportation system, with four train stations, an Autobahn and a little airport. For visitors is recommended to get an Augsburg Card,which will provide unlimited transportation for a decent price.
