Australia Square, officially named Tower Building, is composed of a 50-storey office tower or the Tower Building, 13-storey office tower or the Plaza Building, a food court, and an underground space car park which can accommodate 400 vehicles. It is located at Australia’s Central Business District (CBD). It was constructed in 1967 and earned a place in the history as Australia’s first true office tower.

Australia Square was designed by Harry Seidler and Associates, completed in 1967 with a Sir John Sulman Medal for its design, and is the tallest building in Australia until 1976. The Square was owned by GPT Group. In the 1990s and 2003, improvements were made to the building.

A retail centre of the Australia Square is found underneath the main tower accessible from Bond Street, Curtain Place, and George Street or outside the seating area of Pitt Street. The square is an ideal place for relaxation, shopping, and dining. Everything that one needs can be found at the Square.
