Avenue of Stars

Modeled after the world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Avenue of Stars is along the gorgeous waterfront of Victoria Harbor in Tsim Sha Tsui honoring the Hong Kong Film Industry. The avenue was created to recognize Hong Kong’s film industry in order to promote Hong Kong as a worldwide destination.

The Avenue of Stars is the east portion of several tourist spots along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront. Aside fro the promenade and New World Centre, many attractions include the Clock Tower, Museum of Art, Cultural Centre and the Space Museum.

Avenue of Stars was open to the public on April 28, 2004 with a grand ceremony held the day before. The opening ceremony was attended to by many government and industry notables including Financial Secretary Henry Tang, Secretary for Economic Development and Labor Stephen Ip, Secretary of Home Affairs Patric Ho, Chair of Hong Kong Tourism Board Selina Chow and others.

This attraction presents a breathtaking panorama across Victoria Harbor and is a popular night spot for the display of the Symphony of Lights.
