Avondale House Forest is a recreation place located in Arklow, Ireland.

The park covers 214 hectares of land on the west bank of the Avonmore River. The walkers have endless variety because Avondale has scenery ranging from the magnificent openness of the Great Ride to the towering impressiveness of the massed conifers on the banks of the Avonmore. On the site are located the ruins of Parnell’s old sawmill and Parnell’s well. At Avondale were laid out the first silvicultural experimental plots along the lines of a continental forest garden. Visitors can choose from six different way-marked walks and trails: The River Walk; Pine tree trail; Cairn Walk; Sli na Slainte(the path of heath); The centenary trail and the Exotic tree trail. Here can be found animals like badger, red squirrel, stoat, fox and hedgehog. Tourists can walk, hike, orienteer, fish and make historic tours at Avondale House Forest.
Avondale is located at one hour from South Dublin on N11 highway. From the N11 tourists have to take the R772 to Rathnew and the R752 to Rathdrum. The forest park is located at 1, 5 miles south of Rathddrum.
