The main attraction of Bachman Lake Park is Bachman Lake itself, a small freshwater lake that was actually constructed during the building of a dam back in the early 1900s. Today, many people enjoying lounging in the shade of the many trees surrounding the lake, either on hot summer days or even during their lunch breaks. Since the lake is so close to the airport, the relaxing bliss has been known to be interrupted by an airplane landing and taking off from time to time.

Health nuts enjoy Bachman Lake Park for other reasons, mainly its three-mile trail, which runs around the lake and offers athletic types the chance to go for a run or a walk. The trail is a popular spot for joggers, who take on the three-mile trail in large numbers both in the morning and in the afternoons after work.

Bachman Lake Park is filled with ducks, and is a great spot for families to relax and have a picnic. The park is open from dawn until dusk every day, and is a great spot to cool off during those hot Texas summers.
