The airport's facilities are always subject to constant improvement and development. In fact, numerous expansion projects are underway which include the terminal building upgrade to the east which will provide 8 additional air bridges, as well as the additional parking stands which are intended to increase the airports capacity to 15m per annum by 2015. The initial design plan also include new check-in desks, more baggage make-up area, a separate baggage reclaim area, all-new shopping facilities and a distinctive new facade for the airport.
