Located in Bakersfield, California, the Bakersfield Amtrak Station is the southern terminal of Amtrak’s San Joaquin route. It also includes a Thruway Motorcoach service that continues to other stations and bus stops throughout Southern California and Nevada. In fact, the Bakersfield Amtrak Station is the eighth busiest Amtrak Station in the state of California.

Reopened in 2000, the original station was constructed in 1974. It today includes checked baggage, ticket sales, free parking (in a parking lot shared with the Bakersfield Convention and Visitors Bureau) and an air conditioned waiting room. It also has 14 bus bays and two sheltered platforms.

The staffed hours of the station are 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Car rental agencies and taxi services are available nearby, as are shuttle services to the Doubletree Motel, Marriott Bakersfield and Ramada Suites.
