Ballina or the Byron Gateway Airport is located at Ballina, New South Wales, Australia. This small airport is owned and operated by the Ballina Shire Council. It serves not only locals and tourists but also the nearby towns of Byron Bay and Lismore which are 20 and 30 minutes travel, respectively. It serves an estimated 300,000 passengers per annum.

Ballina Airport is served by three airlines. Jetstar, which has daily flight between Ballina and Sydney and three times a week flight between Ballina and Melbourne; Virgin Blue, which provides daily flight between Ballina and Sydney; and Regional Express with multiple flights daily between Ballina and Sydney.
