The Banff Park Museum is located in Banff National Park in Alberta. Founded in 1895, the museum was moved to its present location in 1903. The building itself is a National Historic Site in Canada, so named because the building represents a significant style of early log construction with national significance. The museum focuses on natural history with more than 5,000 specimen and receives about 40,000 visitors per year. The Banff Park Museum is open daily. Winter hours extend from 1 pm until 6 pm, with summer hours going from 10 am to 6 pm (May 15th through Sept 30th). Admission is $3.90 for adults, $3.40 for seniors and $1.70 for children aged 6 to 17. Families and group discounts are available and yearly passes are recognized.
