Home to one of the world’s leading motorcycle collections, the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum is dedicated to the presentation, interpretation, exhibition and history of motorcycles, vintage vehicles and motorsports as a whole. The museum forms a part of the larger Barber Motorsports Park, a 740 acre racing facility located in Birmingham, Alabama. The Barber Vintage Motersports Museum was officially opened in 1994. Today, its collection includes over 1200 vintage and modern motorcycles as well as several racecars (of these items, around 600 are on display at all times).

Admission tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children ages 4-12 and free for children under the age of 3. Group rates should be consulted. From Apri to September, the museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 pm. and on Sunday from noon to 6:00 p.m. The museum closes at 5:00 p.m. from October through March (September 2009). Birmingham is a rich city composed of tons of accommodations options, but the Barber Museum recommends the Hampton Inn and the Hilton among others.
