The Baron’s Palace is one of the palaces that can be found in Cairo, Egypt. It is often known as the Baron Empain Palace, and it has been a subject of many fables, controversies, rumors and legends. The building was constructed by Alexander Marcel, a French architect, and it is known to have eclectic forms in terms of design that evoke Hindu architecture.

One of the rumors that circulate the Baron’s Palace is that the building is supposedly built on a turnstile, so it would turn wherever the sun may be, and that the windows are always facing the sun. The Baron Empain was a wealthy Belgian entrepreneur, financier, engineer, and industrialist. He also dabbled in Egyptology, which can be seen as a part of his love of the desert.
