One of the most popular spots in Reno is Bartley Ranch Park. Just a short distance from Windy Hill, the park offers a number of trails for bicycle riding, horseback riding, and walking, for those who are more interested in a leisurely place. There is a one-room schoolhouse, originally built in 1867, that sits as a conversation piece in the center of the park. Locals actually used the schoolhouse up until the 1950s, and it is a testament to the beginnings of Nevada.

Bartley Ranch Park is a popular spot for picnics, relaxing, and beautiful views of Reno from above. The park is open daily from eight in the morning until nine at night, and a number of hotels are just a short drive away, including the Eldorado Hotel and Casino, and the Golden Phoenix Hotel.
