The 4th Avenue Theater, also known as the Lathrop Building, is one of the oldest buildings in downtown Anchorage, Alaska. The theater was designed by B Marcus Priteca and is described as Art Deco, Streamline Moderne and Art Moderne in style. Though construction on the property began in 1941, it was not finished until 1947 (due to the interruption of the second World War).

Over the years, the building has undergone several changes and renovations. It now includes facilities for radio and television stations, a restaurant, and even an apartment. The future of the structure is not yet known, though it seems that it will soon be used for meetings and events. Located near several downtown hotels (like the Hampton Inn) and other attractions (such as the Fifth Avenue Mall), the 4th Avenue Theater is listed on the Anchorage Walking tour.
