Specializing in art from around the world that spans many different centuries, The Bass Museum of Art opened its doors in 1963 and has been growing and expanding ever since. Located on Park Avenue, the museum is one of the best in the city, and shows work by such diverse artists as Peter Paul Rubens, Ferdinand Boi, Armand Guillaumin, and Benjamin White. In addition to the permanent collection, The Bass Museum of Art also boasts a wide array of special one-off and traveling exhibitions from some of the art world's brightest new stars.

The Bass Museum of Art is usually open from noon until five, Wednesday through Sunday. From November until December, hours are extended from nine in the morning until five in the afternoon.
