Located just east of the Fox River inlet into Lake Michigan, the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary has served as a park and wildlife education center in Green Bay since 1935. The Wildlife Sanctuary started as a rehab center for waterfowl, and today received more than 4,000 injured, sick, or orphaned animals annually, releasing as many as possible back into the wild, and keeping those which cannot survive in the wild in the center for visitors to see.

Featuring the Nature Observation Center, Resch Wing Observation Building, and the Wildlife Habi-Trek, the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is a popular destination for tourists and residents alike. Not to be missed, the Wildlife Habi-Trek brings visitors from the Woodland Building, which features exhibits focused on wolves, cougar, bobcat, and otters, to the grassland habitat, which is often visited by white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and sometimes coyotes.

The Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary is located at 1660 East Shore Drive in Green Bay, and does have on-site parking free of charge for visitors. The sanctuary is open daily from 9 A.M until 4 P.M., and admission is always free.
