Beijing South Railway Station is a new railway station that is located in the southern part of Beijing in China. The new station is massive and was opened on August 1, 2008 to replace the Yongdingmen Railway Station or the old Beijing South Station. The new railway station is considered as the largest station in Asia and joins the Beijing West Railway Station and the Beijing Railway Station as the third major passenger train railway hub in the city.

Beijing South Railway Station is huge compared to other stations and was build from more than 490,00 cubic meters of concrete, 60,000 tons of steels and approximately 4,000 workers. The station was also built in less than three years which was quite an achievement for the Hong Kong/UK architecture firm that was consigned to build it.

Beijing South Railway Station is easily accessible through numerous modes of local transportation such as buses and taxis. Buses passing by Beijing South Station include Routes 300 and 458. There are more subway lines that are currently under construction and are expected to connect the railway station.
