The Belcarra Eviction Cottage located at Elmhall, Belcarra in County Mayo, Ireland was the location of the last eviction in Belcarra on Saturday 2nd October 1886. The cottage has been restored and is a World Heritage Site, and opens from June to September. It was the home of the Walshe family, who were evicted by the Landlords agents, and has been restored as if the family still lived there.

Westport is a town in County Mayo on the west coast of Ireland. It was a planned town commissioned by the Marquess of Sligo for his workers and tenants to live. The main style of architecture within the centre is Georgian, and there is a tree-lined promenade. Westport House, the stately home of the Marquess of Sligo was built in the 18th century. It stands on the site of one of Grace O'Malley's castles, the dungeons of which may still be seen. There is now a Pirate Adventure Park within the grounds, which offers amusements and pitch and putt, amongst other attractions (www.westporthouse.ie)

In 2008 it was name as one of the top 100 restaurants and hotels in Ireland by the Bridgestone Guide. Facilities include a swimming pool, gym, meeting and banqueting space, and is gay-friendly. A room costs from 65 Euros per night.
