The hall is named for philanthropist Jack Benaroya, who donated over $15 million toward the construction of the venue. Benaroya Hall is actually comprised of two auditoriums, the S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium and the Nordstrom Recital Hall, for a combined capacity of 3000 seats.
