Situated in Boston's historic Back Bay, the Berklee Performance Center is a true haven for music lovers. The Berklee College of Music has long been a nationally renowned institution, known for training the next generation of musical leaders in all genres. The Performance Center provides a showcase for the up-and-coming young talents that each year make their way through Boston along their musical journey. Not only does the Berklee Performance Center function as a performance showcase for students, its acoustic features also make it one of Boston's most important concert halls for professional artists. Constructed as a movie theater in 1915, this historic building was originally designed by Thomas Lamb. It was acquired by the Berklee College of Music many years later. After years of planning, reconstruction, and modernization, it was re-opened on April 5, 1976. Today's Berklee Performance Center holds shows throughout the year and tickets are $10 for general admission, and $5 for senior citizens and children.
