Situated on the New Haven-Springfield Line, the Berlin Amtrak Station serves thousands of people traveling through Connecticut each year. The station is actually located just outside of Berlin, Connecticut, in neighboring Kensington. Its proximity to both neighborhoods is the reason the station is also often called the Kensington-Berlin Amtrak Station. Within the station, travelers will find restrooms and a comfortable waiting area. Although guests can be assured of the modern amenities aboard any of Amtrak's trains, newcomers to the station will be delighted upon entrance into the historical building. Built in 1900 by the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad, stepping off the platform truly feels like stepping back in time. The station is open from 6:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. every weekday and closed on weekends.
