Bernabeu Stadium

Bernabeu Stadium is a football stadium located in Madrid, Spain. It is owned by the best UEFA best football team ever, Real Madrid Club de Fútbol. It was constructed between 1944 and 1947 after the plans of the famous architects Manuel Muñoz Monasterio and Luis Alemany Soler. Santiago Bernabéu Stadium was inaugurated on December 14, 1947 in a match between Real Madrid Football Club and the Clube de Futebol Os Belenenses of Portugal, under the name of Nuevo Estadio Chamartin. The stadium had a capacity of 75,145 spectators.
The first major renovation occurred in 1954 when it was opened the extension of the lateral so the stadium could accommodate 110,000 spectators. On 4 January 1955, the General Assembly of delegate members, decided to adopt the current stadium name after the club president and architect: Santiago Bernabeu. The next big change will not happen until the early 80's to mark the World Cup to be held in Spain in 1982 as it had to adapt to new times.

In 2006, Florentino Perez launched the Master Plan called Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, with one goal: improve the comfort of the stadium and the quality of its facilities, and maximize revenues from the stadium. Following the enlargement of the lateral East and the creation of new boxes, the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium capacity became 80,354 spectators, all seated. Moreover, the managers created the Tour at the Bernabeu, where any amateur can enjoy every corner of the stadium.
El Bernabéu, is one of the world's most famous and prestigious football venues that hosted the European Cup final three times, in 1957, 1969 and 1980, and is scheduled to host the UEFA Champions League 2010 final. The final for the 1982 World Cup has also been held at the Bernabéu.
