Beurstraverse

Beurstraverse is located in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is a shopping street situated under the street level Coolsingel. Hence, it is also called by the gutter, or Gutter Street.
The Dutch architect Pi de Bruijn designed the shopping center. There are around 500 stalls in the street, dealing in everything from fruits and vegetables to exclusive goods.
While most of the stores can be found on the lower level of the street, some of the big stores such as Beehive, and C& A are constructed on the upper level. These also serve as an entrance to the upper level.
Exclusive shops, departmental stores offering luxury goods, specialty shops offering Asian goods, small shops on Van Oldebarneveldstraat and Witte de Withstraat, traditional shops on Nieuwe Binnenweg and Oude are some of the features of Beurstraverse street.
The greatest advantage of shopping in this street is that this street is exclusively for pedestrians. Hence, when you are shopping you do not have to watch out for passing cars.

The opening timings of most of the shops are from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm everyday. The shops close at 6.00 pm on Saturdays, while on Fridays, the shops remain open till 9.00. The opening time on Mondays is 11.00 am. Most of the shops remain open on Sundays too, between 12.00 noon to 5.00pm.
Rotterdam has the best public transport service. Bus, tram and metro travel to Beurstraverse.
