Big Banana is a tourist Attraction situated at 351 Pacific Highway Coffs Harbour, New South Wales in Australia. It was founded in 1964 by John Landy, who wanted to have an attraction that would make people stop by his banana stall. He then decided to build a giant banana to attract more customers. From the simple banana plantation it was way back in 1964, the park has now become one of today’s biggest tourist attractions in New South Wales.

In the last forty years this tourist spot has evolved even further to become a plethora of rides, parties, functions, educational tours, shows and great recreational facilities. One of the most popular rides is their toboggan ride. This ride is over 650 metres long and the rider is able to control the speed of the toboggan.

The Water Park features a big inflatable waterslide. Other attractions include Ice Skating, World of Bananas, Going Bananas Café and Gift Shop, Trike Ride, Candy Kitchen, Puppet People and the Sunset Lakes Nursery.

The Park offers free admissions but each ride or attraction does have their own individual fees. Big Banana is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
