The Billings Municipal Airport was constructed in 1928, using the major technologies of the day, such as horse-drawn carriage. The name was eventually changed to Billings Logan International Airport, in honor of Dick Logan, who served as the first airport manager.

It is located at 1901 Terminal Circle, in Billings, Montana. Today it services numerous passenger airlines: Allegiant Air, Frontier Airlines, Horizon, Northwest, SkyWest, United, Great Lakes. The airport also works with a number of major cargo carriers: UPS, DHL, FedEx. The airport has a gift shop and comfortable waiting lounge, and for those who arrive a bit early, the Yellowstone County Museum is located just south of the terminal.
