A trip to Disney over summer vacation might be a great idea, but at some point or another, that Florida sunshine is going to lead visitors to want a swimming pool or cool-off spot.

Thankfully, there's Blizzard Beach, a popular water park within the Disney limits. Originally opened in 1995, Blizzard Beach is the third water park that's part of Disney. The water park is based off of a ski park where all of the snow has melted, leaving behind a number of ski jumps turned water slides and other fun attractions for people of all ages.

There are a number of different slopes all leading down the mountain, depending on the type of water slide visitors are interested in riding. Most of the water in the park is heated to a comfortable 80 degrees, except for the water down by the ice cave, so even if it's a slightly chilly Orlando day, Blizzard Beach is still a popular spot.

Blizzard Beach is open year-round, and a number of hotels are just a short way away, including Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, Silver Lake Resort, and Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.
