Located in the middle of the Bowman Center industrial park (alongside the famous Bowman Distillery), the Blue & Gray Brewing Co is one of the more successful microbreweries in the state of Virginia, and most certainly among those surrounding the city of Fredericksburg. The brewery is located precisely at 3300 Dill Smith Drive, a few short miles south of the city of Fredericksburg proper.

The brewing company was originally set up in March of 2002, although a few of its trademark beers had already begun to be brewed in other state microbreweries. The staple brews produced by this label include the Fred Red Ale, the Stonewall Stout, the Blue & Gray Classic Lager, and the Falmouth American Pale Ale. There are guided tours of the brewery available for visitors from 2-6pm on Wednesdays, from 3-8pm on Fridays, and from 10-am-1pm on Saturdays.
