Located in downtown Boise, Idaho, Boise State University is the largest (in terms of student enrollment) public university in the entire state. Founded in 1931 as a private Episcopalian college, in subsequent years it became secular and later entered the state's higher education, four-year school system, becoming the largest in said system before long.
