Station Borne
Borne Station (abbreviation: Bn) located in Overijssel Borne, Netherlands, was opened on October the 18th, 1865 on the then new line Almelo - Oldenzaal - Salzbergen.
The old station, a classical building had two platforms on either side of the railway station, which consisted of an upper middle section with two identical, lower wings. This building was replaced in 1975. Also, a new island platform was built. The office and waiting room in the building were closed in 1999. In 2003, a pizzeria appeared in the station building. There are two important trains passing through Borne Station: 7000 Stoptrein Apeldoorn - Deventer - Almelo - Borne - Hengelo - Enschede running at night and on Sunday no between Almelo and Enschede and 7900 Stoptrein Zwolle - Almelo - Borne - Hengelo – Enschede
