The Botlierskop Private Game Reserve is a place where guests can get a private safari experience. It located in Mossel Bay, South Africa, and is only a 30-minute drive from George Airport. If you are coming in from Cape Town, you can enjoy a 4-hour drive while basking in the breathtaking scenery.

Botlierskop got its name from the peculiar rock formation seen in the reserve. The rock itself is named “koppie” because of its large top and thin stem. Activities include a guided game drive, helicopter tour, safari on horseback, river cruises, and fishing. One can also have a picnic with the elephants, feed them, and ride on their backs.

While on tour in the 3,000-hectare reserve, you will be able to see 26 featured animals with 1,800 more around the area. Visitors will see giraffes, cape buffaloes, elands, impalas, white rhinoceros, and lions. The reserve is also lined with a plethora of plant life, and guests can also appreciate the beauty of the various rock formations in the area.
