Located at the historic Harbeck-Bergheim House, the Boulder History Museum is a small historic gem in the heart of Boulder, Colorado. The organization was established in by A.A. Paddock, former publisher of the Boulder Daily Camera. Since its creation in 1944, the museum has continually expanded its collection of artifacts, textiles, historical documents, and photographs. It has also continued to develop its role as an educational leader in the community of Boulder. Today it is lead by a board of trustees composed of 18 members of the community and is maintained by five staff members. The museum is open Tuesday-Friday from 10-5 p.m. and weekends from 12-4 p.m. The museum's collection boasts more than 35,000 historical artifacts from the region's history. As a non-profit organization, it seeks to educate both locals and tourists about Boulder's fascinating and unique history; to this end, it holds an annual event called Summerfest for the community each June. Admission to the Boulder History Museum is $6 for adults, $4 for senior citizens, and $3 for children.
