Located in Lewis Run, Pennsylvania, 10 miles south of Bradford, is the Bradford Regional Airport serving Pennsylvania and Western New York State. With two runways the airport services commercial carrier Continental Airlines with flights to and from Jamestown, NY, and Cleveland, OH. It is also a general aviation airport, and charter flights are available through local providers like Prospect Aviation, Luftladder Air Charter, Wellsville Flying Service, Prior Aviation and Vee Neal. Originally built as an emergency landing field for use during World War II, the airport terminal was not officially completed and opened until 1949. Today, in the terminal find the Airport Restaurant, open for breakfast and lunch Saturday to Thursday, and from breakfast to dinner on Fridays. Ground transportation includes car rentals from hertz, with vehicle delivery to the airport by advanced reservation only, and taxi and limousine service. Free long and short term parking is available at the airport. Nearby hotels include Best Western, Comfort Inn, the Glendorn, Heritage Suites, and the Inn on Maple Street.
